Syrian Christian Wedding · Kochi
Meera & Vinay
The wedding unfolded over three days, beginning with a quiet pooja in the family home and ending with a reception under string-lit trees. Every element was composed to feel of its place — and of its people.
Florals were drawn from the season: jasmine, crossandra, marigold, and tuberose, threaded into garlands and arranged in brass urulis. Linens in ivory and kasavu. Brass lamps lit at dusk by elder hands.
"We wanted the wedding to feel like our home — not like an event."
The mandap was carved from reclaimed teak. The seating was arranged so the parents sat closest to the fire, the elders behind, the cousins on woven mats at the edges. Nothing was rented that could be made.
We were present from the first lamp lit to the last guest departed. The family was present only for what mattered.
