Onam 2026
Onam at the Atelier
Every Chingam, Kerala waits for someone to come home. This year, send something of home instead.
Onam is the one festival built around a homecoming. Mahabali returns to his people, and his people return to their mothers' kitchens, their courtyards, their pookalams. For those who cannot return, there has always been the Onakkodi. New cloth, sent home, carrying everything that could not be said.

The Onakkodi service
The Onam you cannot be home for. The saree that arrives in your place.
We fold it, tie it by hand, write your words in our handwriting, and place it at her door before Thiruvonam. No invoice inside. Only the cloth and your message.
Two ways to send it home
The Onam Edit
Kasavu and cream, in small numbers.
24 pieces remain in the edit. When they are gone, they are gone before Thiruvonam.
Onam sarees, home before Thiruvonam.
This is a small edit of the onam saree, made for people ordering kasavu saree online for Amma, for a sister, for themselves. Every kerala saree here is woven in Balaramapuram or Kuthampully, in the villages that have made kasavu for generations. Real zari at the border, unbleached cotton in the body, and a fold that carries the smell of the loom.
If you are sending an Onakkodi home, choose the piece and let us do the rest. We wrap it, write your words in our handwriting, and place it at the door in time for Thiruvonam delivery. Order early. When the edit is gone, it is gone until next Chingam.
